This kitchen renovation in Cumbernauld is a strong example of how careful planning, design changes, and a full start-to-finish renovation can completely transform the way a space works.

YVR Design & Build managed the project from design to install, including the strip-out, wall alterations, first fix plumbing and electrics, plastering, kitchen installation, worktops, cladding, lighting, tiling, and finishing details.

The original layout was opened up to create a brighter and more practical kitchen with better flow, more worktop space, and a layout that works properly for cooking, preparation, seating, storage, and everyday family use.

The finished kitchen features sage green cabinetry with matching interiors, Chromix white worktops and matching cladding, black handles, black appliances, a formed TV point, and a large peninsula that provides extra worktop space and informal seating.

A bespoke ceiling panel was designed above the peninsula, complete with feature pendant lighting and LED backlighting to create a strong focal point in the room. Hidden under-cabinet lighting was also built into the design to keep the space bright and practical while maintaining a clean, modern finish.

As part of the renovation, the toilet area was also completed with matching finishes, helping the full space feel connected rather than separate from the kitchen design.

Every detail was planned around the finished result — from the lighting layout and tile layout to the way the worktops and cladding finish neatly into the window area.

This Cumbernauld kitchen renovation shows what can be achieved when the full process is handled properly from start to finish: a modern, practical, and carefully designed kitchen built around the way the customer will use the space every day.
